Saint Mary's is Arizona's first Catholic high school and has been a part of central Phoenix since 1917, just 5 years after Arizona became a state! We will be celebrating our centennial in a few short years and the excitement is already building. Saint Mary's Catholic High School is a Roman Catholic, Diocesan, co-educational high school serving the Greater Phoenix area. With the skyline of downtown Phoenix as our backdrop, Saint Mary's is a multi-cultural, economically diverse, centrally-located school that offers a traditional setting with a primary emphasis on the spiritual, academic, social and personal growth of each student. As a Catholic high school, faith is extremely important to our students. Our Knights and Lady Knights display their God-given gifts and talents in the classroom, on the athletic field, during fine arts performances, and giving back to the community. We have a strong academic program with Advanced Placement, honors and dual enrollment classes to challenge the most academically gifted students, yet we also can meet the needs of students with educational gaps. We have proven success with students who start high school struggling, but are guided to work hard and become very successful.We take the responsibility of educating our students seriously, and make a firm commitment to provide a quality Catholic education by developing and sustaining a rich tradition grounded in Gospel and family values, discipline, and respect. Saint Mary's is more than just a high school, but actually a family that spans generations. Today, there are nearly 10,000 Saint Mary's alumnae. Our school motto is "Once a Knight, Always a Knight." We are now seeing some 4th generation Saint Mary's students. Some of the state's most successful professionals, including doctors, lawyers, teachers, professors, entrepreneurs, public servants, and even professional athletes attended Saint Mary's!
