Guidance Department
The Guidance Department has an assigned Student Advisor for each class. Duties include advising students on course selections, interpreting academic achievement tests, and monitoring student performance. The advisor serves as a resource to assist students’ with college and career choices encouraging each student to achieve his/her fullest potential. The advisor also serves as a contact for parents. |

Mr. Eddy Zubey is the Student Advisor for the freshmen class under the guidance of Mr. DiBianco and will also be teaching Lifetime Sports. Mr. Zubey has been dealing with At-Risk Students for three years and will help the freshmen through their first year of Saint Mary’s with meetings about academics and leadership.

Mr. Kevin Randolph is the Student Advisor for the sophomore class under the guidance of Mr. Johansen. He will continue with the academic review of student progress towards graduation, college and career goals, and discussions involving the life skills necessary for success. Topics include leadership, goal setting, and establishing the work ethic needed to achieve one’s goals.

Mr. Dan Johansen is the Academic Advisor for the junior class. He will be assisting students with their decisions regarding their path after graduation.
Important events/accomplishments during the year include:
1. PSAT exam (given October 14th on our campus)
2. Obtaining the best semester grades the student can achieve (last year to improve GPA prior to submitting college applications)
3. Taking the SAT and ACT in the spring (dates and registration material found in the guidance center)
4. If taking AP classes, scoring a 4 or 5 on the exam (register by March 5th in the Saint Mary's business office)

Mr. Justin DiBianco is the Academic Advisor for the senior class. He will be assisting seniors with college applications, scholarship information, and financial aid. Through one-on-one meetings and classroom presentations, he will address the college process helping seniors come to decisions on post-secondary education.

Ms. Katherine Stoll is the Counselor assigned to address the personal and social concerns of the Saint Mary's student body. Ms. Stoll provides individual and group counseling, as well as consultation to parents, students, and staff. She is also a member of the Student Assistance Team, which addresses concerns with students who may be at-risk either academically or behaviorally.
