Financial Aid School donors, benefactors, and various foundations and organizations make available tuition assistance awards to students based on demonstrated financial need.  Applications for tuition assistance are made available at the time of registration.  However, deadlines for tuition assistance must be met in order to assure full access to financial aid resources.  Forms are sent to the FAIR organization for analysis and decisions are made by late June for first-round and by late September for second-round. Families should plan on paying the full tuition rate for the first monthly installment.  The amount of financial aid received is deducted from the total remaining tuition and subsequent payments are adjusted accordingly.  For the sake of your family’s security and peace of mind and for the general financial stability of the school, we encourage parents or guardians to contact the school as soon as possible when circumstances change and they are experiencing economic difficulties. Financial Resources A Saint Mary's education is an investment in a student's future and Christian formation.  At Saint Mary's, we value the sacrifices parents make in order to pay tuition, and make a firm commitment to help all students achieve their fullest academic, athletic, social and spiritual potential.  Saint Mary's has a strong network of donors through various channels, including the individual tax credit and corporate tax credit.  The majority of tuition assistance comes from funds generated from the Arizona school tax credit law, which allows individuals, married couples and certain corporations to redirect a portion of their tax liability to qualified school tuition organizations.  Saint Mary's has an established tuition financial assistance program that helps make a Saint Mary's education possible for all families.  All tuition assistance is based on financial need; neither academic nor athletic scholarships are awarded by the school. Each applicant must complete a Needs Analysis Form with FAIR, and independent firm hired to evaluate financial need.  Incoming freshman receive their forms during registration in March, and all forms must be completed and returned before April 15th.
