Take advantage of the tax credit!   If you are single, you can contribute $500 and if you are married you can contribute $1000 to a school tuition organization and receive dollar for dollar tax credit.  The gift costs you nothing, but to Saint Mary's students, it means everything! 2. Give to the Saint Mary's Annual Fund. Donations go to work immediately in the areas of financial aid, technology, and important resources for all areas of the school.  Annual Fund gifts support and enrich daily life for students at Saint Mary's through ensuring the school can invest in the latest technology, science equipment, extracurricular materials, and much needed resources for our athletics and fine arts programs.  Gifts of cash are always appreciated and are tax- deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. 3. Sponsor a Student  Help a deserving student attend Saint Mary's by paying a portion of the student's tuition through as many as 4 years and form a mentoring relationship with the student.  This program has been in place over 15 years, helping hundreds of Saint Mary's students!  4. Sponsor an Event       Your business can sponsor our annual Golf Tournament or dinner auction as a marketing expense.  Have fun, participate and help support student scholarships. 5. Ask your employer to match your gift        Many companies will match employee gifts made to educational institutions, making your gift twice as impactful.  Check with your human resources department. If your company participates in payroll deductions to United Way, you can give directly to Saint Mary's Scholarship and Benefit Fund by designating Saint Mary's #8250 For a list of companies that match employees gifts, please click here. 6. Consider a named scholarship Financial aid scholarships can be created in honor of a loved one that will provide a legacy that will last in perpetuity.  As little as $20,000 can start a fund with the Saint Mary's Scholarship and Benefit Fund endowment. 7. Consider a planned gift Is Saint Mary's in your will?  Consider Saint Mary's as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy or look into Charitable Remainder Trusts and Lead Trusts with your financial advisor.  Remember Saint Mary's  in your will and create a lasting legacy at the School. Bequests may include an estate, a percentage of an estate or a specific cash amount.
